Last month, members of the Yongey Buddhist Center journeyed to Tergar Osel Ling Monastery to attend the Dorje Drolo Puja and Teachings. While there, they presented offerings on behalf of the Center to the Lamas and monks in attendance and those at the Tergar Monastery in Bodhgaya.
During a break in the puja activities, the members were privileged to have lunch with Mingyur Rinpoche and discuss the activities of the Center and upcoming plans for the Par Karma Dorje Dzingpa Ling Retreat Land. Rinpoche expressed a desire to visit next year when he comes to America.
While at the monastery, Dwayne checked on the solar equipment in storage at the monastery and discussed plans for repurposing the equipment (no longer needed at the Samaguan Kindergarten). The monastery is thinking of incorporating the stored equipment into an emergency solar power system for the Shrine Hall under construction.
Lastly, the members thank Khenpo Gyurme, Lama Lekshey, and Lama Cheedon for their help during the visit, as well as Pradip’s family for hosting a farewell dinner for Rinpoche’s family.
