Future Construction of Enlightenment Stupa

The Yongey Buddhist Center continues to promote the building of a public Enlightenment Stupa in Northern California.  Further details will be provided as plans for this project develop.

In order for a lay person to attain enlightenment, one has to accumulate merits and wisdom. A stupa represents Buddha’s wisdom and enlightenment. Through building a stupa, one can make connections with Buddha’s wisdom; thereby purify a donor’s bad karma, liberate oneself from cyclic existence and march towards enlightenment.
