Retreat Land Transferred to YBC

We are pleased to announce that the Par Karma Dorje Dzingpa Ling Retreat Land has been officially transferred to the Yongey Buddhist Center.  The retreat land was gifted by the family of the late Dorje Palmo to ensure its continued use as a Buddhist retreat site.  The 160-acre property is located in the mountains north of the Bay Area in Mendocino County.

Over the past 30 years the land has developed from a campground with yurts and outbuildings into a modern retreat site with living quarters, kitchen, and a large shrine room for retreats and meditation practice.  A short walk on Enlighten Trail leads to the Enlightenment Stupa, the Mahakala Room, the Rinpoche Retreat Room, and the newly constructed Dorje Palmo Memorial.

The Yongey Buddhist Center plans to continue with the traditional activities at the retreat land including the annual celebration of the Stupa anniversary, daily meditation and practice, Buddhist retreats, and teachings by Rinpoche and visiting Lamas and Buddhist instructors.
