The Yongey Buddhist Center is pleased to announce the addition of Mingyur Rinpoche’s Joy of Living Program to its practice schedule. Monthly classes will be on Sundays at the Center from 10 am to 2 pm, with a short break for lunch. The program will be in Chinese (Mandarin) and begin with an Introduction to Meditation course followed by the Joy of Living Level 1 & Level 2 courses. The Program is sponsored by Tergar Mingjue and will be facilitated by Tergar Facilitator Laurel Long.
The two-part Introduction to Meditation course will start on October 6 and continues November 10. The four-part Joy of Living Level 1: Calming the Mind course is scheduled to start December 15 and continue with monthly classes through March 2020. Seating for the Chinese Joy of Living Program at the Yongey Buddhist Center is limited to 30 participants. Attendees will be required to attend all sessions and commit to daily meditation practice. Parking will be restricted at the Center, but available nearby (directions will be provided to attendees prior to start of course). Attendees are invited to bring a vegetarian dish for the potluck lunch.
