April Retreats 2026

We are happy to report on two retreats held at the Pal Karma Dorje Dzingpa Ling Retreat Land in April.   The retreats were conducted by Tergar facilitators Laurel Long and Wally Mikula and primarily for students of Mingyur Rinpoche currently practicing within Tergar programs.  We were also fortunate to have Tsangsar Rinpoche in attendance for the first retreat to provide guidance and support.

The first retreat was the weekend of April 9-12 and titled Coming Together – Join Tergar “Mahamudra and Luminous Mind” Online Retreat.  It was an opportunity for students to participate and practice together in the online teaching retreat with Mingyur Rinpoche.

The second retreat was the weekend of April 17-19 and titled Walking the Path – A JOL1 Deepening Weekend Retreat.   It was an opportunity for JOL1 practitioners to refresh awareness, deepen meditation, and integrate practice into daily life.

The retreats were limited to 10 participants and held at the main house and down in the meditation yurt at the campsite.  The attendees viewed video sessions by Mingyur Rinpoche and followed up with group discussions.  There was also private time for meditation and for hiking in the woods.

Several of the participants arrived early and helped set up for the retreats.  They helped with cleaning and brush clearing and hanging prayer flags at the Stupa.   The vegetarian meals were prepared by the attendees with everyone taking turns with the cooking and cleanup.

The Yongey Buddhist Center thanks Laurel and Wally for leading these retreats, and for Tsangsar Rinpoche’s guidance and participation.  Their support is deeply appreciated. Additional retreats are planned for the fall and will be announced on the website.
