Family members and close friends gathered on May 24 to hold a Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Dorje Palmo Memorial to be built on the Stupa site at Pal Karma Dorje Dzingpa Ling. The ceremony was in conjunction with the 19th Anniversary of the Enlightenment Stupa and included a Fire Puja Offering and Bumpa burial at the memorial site.
Construction of the Dorje Palmo Memorial will start in late June with finish work scheduled to be completed by year-end. The 17-foot tall structure will follow the basic style of the stupa with a Tibetan style split roof. The Memorial will contain a columbarium to house the remains of Dorje Palmo and departed family and friends. Mingyur Rinpoche has consented to dedicate the memorial when he visits in the summer of 2021 (TBD).
