We are pleased to provide this update on Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche’s upcoming visit to the Yongey Buddhist Center. We still have a few seats available for the Welcome Banquet and Book Signing. Please contact the Center ASAP if you want to attend this special event.
We are still accepting registrations for the Joy of Living Workshop. We will close on-line registrations on June 24. After which, you will need to contact the Center if you want to attend. We can pre-register you (if seats are available) and have you pay when you arrive on Saturday morning.
The reduced group rate for rooms at the Embassy Suites Hotel is no longer available. However, a room may come available if a cancellation occurs. If you are interested in staying at the workshop venue, please contact the Center for more information.

- The Welcome Banquet will be held at the Mayflower Restaurant in Milpitas as in years past. The vegetarian meal is $40.00 per seat (including children) and reservations are required. - The Book Signingfor Rinpoche’s new book In Love with the World: A Monk’s Journey through the Bardos of Living and Dying will be held in conjunction with the Welcome Banquet. The book tells of Rinpoche’s near-death experience and the life-changing wisdom he gained while on his 4 year wandering retreat. Books will be available for purchase at the Banquet.
- The two-day workshopMeditation and the Joy of Living will be held at the Embassy Suites in Milpitas. This first level workshop offers a rare opportunity to learn the Joy of Living teachings from Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche. Each day will include teachings from Mingyur Rinpoche and short periods of guided meditation and discussion with Senior Tergar Instructor Edwin Kelley. A Book Signing will be held the afternoon of the 29th following the Workshop. Registration is required for this general admission two-day event.
