Earlier this month the Yongey Buddhist Center was blessed with a visit by Lama Lekshey, who is in charge of the Tergar Osel Ling Monastery in Kathmandu. During his stay Lama Lekshey attended the Wednesday evening practice where he answered questions about the recent earthquake and the damages to the monastery. Later in the week Lama Lekshey journeyed up to Pal Karma Dorje Dzingpa Ling in Northern California to visit the Enlightenment Stupa. It had been hoped that Lama Lekshey would be able to attend the Center’s Annual Picnic on the 7th, but unfortunately his return flight to Kathmandu departed that same morning. We are extremely grateful that Lama Lekshey was able to take the time and effort to visit the Yongey Buddhist Center before returning home and the pressing duties there.
