A special long-life Puja for our guru Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche was held in Mesa, Arizona this past weekend, Oct 11 – 13, sponsored by the Tergar Meditation Center in Phoenix. Dorje Palmo journeyed to Mesa to represent the Yongey Buddhist Center and participate in the prayer ceremony.
Nine Lamas, including two Rinpoches, joined together to chant the long-life prayer from Mingyur Rinpoche’s Treasure Book. Concurrent with the Long-Life Ceremony, teachings on Tibetan Buddhism were given including an Introduction to Meditation and The Four Noble Truths by Khenpo Gyurme.
Also attending from the Yongey Buddhist Center was Tie Wang for the Saturday session and Patricia Strong who attended all of the teachings and the concluding Long Life Empowerment. This Puja event generated vast benefits for our precious Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche’s long life, his health, and his enlightened activities to be free of obstacles, as well as for his students and all sentient beings.
